Odi Grips, ein Sponsor des im letzten Monat tragisch verstorbenen Mountainbike-Pros Kelly McGarry, veröffentlicht nach langer Überlegung nun dieses Video von ihm und seinem Traildog Tui. Als Erinnerung an die großartige Person Kelly McGarry und daran, jede Sekunde auf dem Rad zu genießen.
Grip It and Whippet – Eine Hommage Auf Kelly McGarry
Odi Grips waren so glücklich kurz vor seinem Tod noch mit Kelly McGarry zusammen arbeiten zu dürfen. Doch sie waren sich erst nicht sicher wie sie mit der Footage von ihm und seinem Hund Tui verfahren sollten. Nachdem sie Rat bei seinen Hinterbliebenen gesucht hatten, kamen sie nun zu dem Entschluss diesen Edit als passende Hommage auf McGazza und als eine Ode an das Leben auf dem Rad zu veröffentlichen. Außerdem rufen sie im Rahmen der Veröffentlichung des Videos dazu auf, dafür zu spenden, dass auch in Zukunft Kellys Bestrebungen, Trails in Neuseeland zu bauen und neuseeländische Talente zu fördern, unterstützt und weiter geführt werden können – eine sehr gute Sache, wie wir finden.

Anyone lucky enough to interact with Kelly McGarry was instantly struck by his good natured personality and ability to make you feel like an old friend within minutes of meeting him. We at ODI were fortunate to have been able to work with Kelly over the past few years and were ecstatic when Kelly approached us about doing an edit with his beloved dog Tui. After his tragic passing we were torn on what to do with this footage. Upon consulting those closest to him we decided that it was best to release this edit both as a fitting tribute to a great person and as a reminder to enjoy the ride of life.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to all those who knew Kelly. This is a tragic loss for the mountain bike community as for all those who knew and interacted with him. He will certainly be missed. RIP Mcgazza.
